Just thought I would update my thread as to my progress I have the Power brake servo out right now waiting for the new one from German supply , had a great talk to Scott and he was very helpfull . As I wait I have continued to Use some touch up Paint and after a couple of weeks I will put the buffer to it again and shine her up . I had to redo a rear wheel brake cylinder as It was leaking the PO had just done the other side and I now am worried that the drum brake shoes have been contaminated so I guess I will have to change them before to long . The next job will be recovering the front seats I removed the covers and all the material sanded and repainted the frames so now they are just waiting for the new foam and covers

Very nice bus. Our first Westy was an orange '73 that we bought while we were living in Surrey in 1986. We brought it back to Winnpeg and ended up selling it. We missed it so much that when a co-worker in Calgary put his '78 up for sale, I grabbed it - we still have it 15 years later.
Our '73 started as an automatic, but the PO, who was a retired aircraft mechanic, replaced it with a standard. The only tip-offs were the shift pattern on the ashtray door and the 'shadow' where the automatic badge had been.
Seeing your pictures brought back memories. Our current bus is Sage Green, but I like that orange, too. _________________ '78 Sage Green California Westy 'Ludwig Van'

My bus is a late '73 and I was blessed with the '74-ish 1"taller front seat backs which TMI does not make covers for. Better check yours...the seat backs might be too tall for the 69-73 seat covers. I had to shorten mine ~ 1" by cutting the flat steel edgeing at the splice.
Looking good BTW. _________________ 1965 21-Deluxe-SWR/BG "Sonora"
