Moving along, got the seats covered and in and a lot of nick nacks done.
Had some plexi corner windows made and got those in, fitting trim etc. Tomorrow I'll go for another drive now that it's got seats
The driver side backrest got some wrinkles in it when it cooled down, they were setting in the sun when I picked them up so I'll take it back and have it stretched a little tighter Monday.
I also had some plexi corner windows made and got those in along with the safaris. Couple days more and my portion of the work on the bus will be done. Then home it goes for full body and paint to be completed. _________________ Stocking distributor of "The Funky Green Panels"

All I did was get it mechanical sound, and a ton of parts fitted. All of the painting will more then likely get redone and I did that for a perception of what it will look like when completed. When it arrives home it will come back apart for full body work and paint.
I started with a BARE shell. It runs and drives beautiful now, everything works and all the missing stuff found, rhd conversion done, etc. I'm sure pictures will be posted in the future when the bus is totaly painted and the complete interior installed (which it has, done by WCC) _________________ Stocking distributor of "The Funky Green Panels"

The only thing I didn't like about that bus was that Ronnie wouldn't let me drive it....lol _________________ I own a copy of "The Car of the Century" by Garwood. This means I am authorized to act like a twat in thesamba forums. |

I'm on the same page as Everett, I didn't give it a crazy close up inspection. I'm also confused about the insides being painted first, but I'm sure there is a master plan. I think of it more like a "hot rod" project, and I think it's great. It looked nice in real life, and it was great to see it driving around during the weekend.

I'm starting to get little wafts of bus stink coming from the north. Something about the unique scent of drivers seat padding when it's glued together with mouse piss and shit that really gets me going... and I'm smelling it! Oh yeah! Time to start loading up the equipment. |
