But you don't have to pound stakes thru a hardtop to secure the Coleman tent. |
sorry, but that makes no sense |

Plus it has a racing stripe and he is a fellow Coloradoan.
I have no affiliation with this bus other than a couple of photos in my favorite pics. |

i spotted this bus when i went to go pick up some parts from Kens Custom VW (parts shop in san diego).
He said he has owned this thing for years. Dont kno if it runs or not.
He then started telling me that its a registered R.V.
Venture wagen i believed he called.
Did a quick search on it here. Didnt find anything.
I saw a vid clip of Zach Galifanakis (fat guy from the hangover) and he was driving one of these.
Very interesting dont ya think?
Or does this just show my very lil knowledge on vw? haha oh well
just thought i'd share this with all ya'll

Is that in National City? A stones throw away from the 5? |

Nah, I wouldn't do that. I want a removable hard-cased tent like Autohome makes |

There are two hi-tops on the Seattle Craigslist this week - neither by that name. One listed under "camper" the other under "van" or "bus". I sure wish I had some acreage to stash some buses. |

Poor Kittens.
The stock equipment on these things was kind of bad ass.

Let's resurrect this post. The bus that Jalex asks about still sits in front of Kens Custom in National City, CA. I was there just today, and it still sits along with four other early Bays, a couple Baja's, and an oval under a tarp. Who know's what he has inside, but he says he's got more, and it's all for sale, along with his shop full of parts I could not get into.
I've known about this place for a while, but today I had a wild hair and thought I'd check him out since I was around the corner recycling. Ken's eccentric to say the least, and I'm not really sure if he's got all his marbles if you know what I mean. He's cash and carry only and doesn't post nothing on the internet or does any business on the net.
If there is anyone out there that has ever done any business with Ken, I'd be interested to know if the guy is legit. From first impression, it's not positive, but you never know these days. _________________ '62 golfblau Typ 311 Limousine
