I don't know who the manufacturer was, don't know the builder either. I got it on swap for a bus, replaced/repaired a bunch of stuff and played with it for about 6 months. Dragged it to Bulli-Brigade 2011 and snapped these pics. I just sold it Jan 14th and bought a new toy. VW of course. Bye little buggy. Cool

This picture now hangs in my office, it alone was worth owning the buggy. Very Happy

Im in the process of trying to get my new rail street legal. Colorado wants a windshield, which I dont have. Id love to see some pictures of how you did yours. Looks detatchable. Plus it looks like you dont even have it tabbed. Tabless is how I want to do it because I dont want to burn up my powdercoat.

Mazzone mid-engine rail. My first experience with the VW brand. So far I've been impressed with the speed and power of the little engine. I've been fixing her up for the last few months. This photo was just two weeks ago, our first time out in the sand.

It actually has bungs welded in each corner and bolts on. Its a pretty simple design on the windshield. Its a flat piece of aluminum and a flat piece of glass with a seal that holds them together. I'll try to find some pics.

Im looking for someone to do the aluminum work and Im hoping I can just drill and tap or drill and through bolt the a-pillar to hold the windshield frame. 6-8 bolts or so.

I will be posting pictures shortly.

I have a sand rail that my dad has had over 25 years, 24 years ago he pulled it up into our front yard to "tune it up", and Saturday was the 1st time since then that it ran!

also anyone know what has to be done to be able to get a sand rail street legal in texas?

Just picked up this Chenowth 4LWD

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Has some trick parts:
-Coilovers F&R (R is remote resi)
-Summers Bros Hubs F&R
-Wilwood Brakes F&R
-Neal Brake and Clutch Pedals w/Wilwood Brake Masters
-Centerlines w/new Bluestar fronts and pretty worn 31/1050 rears
-Fuel Safe Fuel Cell
-Beard Seats
-CNC Turning Brake
-CNC Throttle Pedal

It is missing a motor and trans, so I'll be working on that shortly. Smile
