Ha, I laughed at the robot voice at the end.

I think the seat is green though? That would be a 55-56 non-Barndoor Standard seat.

Still very cool and in awesome condition.

Green? No, brown Wink

Ok, cool!

Can you posted some detailed photos of the kick panel?

Hi Brian.

My 52 ones have 4x10 springs on the seat bottom and I would say later ones have the same pattern. But maybe someone who has a late one can confirm ? Wink

Cheers

Just realized that the backrest on late seats does have the zigzag like the late front seat. It's not visible once covered so I can't check on my early seats but I'd say they might not have the same zigzag parts in the backrest. Idea

You're welcome.

My early kombi seats has some broken sews around the backrest so I've been able to check the backrest springs pattern and it is definitely different than late barndoor seat. No Zig zags.

Some good reference pictures of a Barndoor middle seat frame.
Looks like 54/55, with the backrest having the zig-zags front and back.
Base has the 10x4 springs.
Main backrest has 6x3 springs.
Folding backrest has a 4-3-4 arrangement.

So I have been looking for a six leg seat for a bit without any avail. I am considering a repro. I know, I know unspeakable, but does anyone have any first hand experience with either of the 2 repros? Correctness fit and seat cover fit? Not much info out there on them. Thanks

I would like to know some more info on the wooden spring framed 6 leg middle seats? Were they only for Portuguese barndoors? Also, are there any physical differences after covered from a steal spring framed middle seat?

Thanks
