I did a search and saw there were some older threads from '09 and '12 referencing the EasySteer or Ultimate Engineering (http://www.ultimate-engineering.co.uk/powersteering.html), but no threads on if anybody has tried an EPS product.

Since we are 3yrs past the last post, the question still remains...has anybody used one of these solutions yet?

I researched it and thought about it, because my syncro originally did not come with power steering. I ended up just installing the power steering route. First the cost and the labor, it made more sense to go the mainstream way.

I've been really happy with the og power steering system, very pleased with it.

But if you want to go for the electric way, I say go for it. It looks interesting. One of the things that was a deterrent was the shipping cost from UK. Plus being the first one here in the states.

take a look through the brickyard and club 80-90 forums, there are running EPS conversions.

Hi, thanks Mr, goffoz.

My van’s EPS is very much similar or same to what’s done in UK.
I got the unit through EBay UK. They do provide ready to fit EPS unit at some cost. Smile
The link of the company who supplies,
www.easysteer.co.uk.
I love the variable PS adjustment. Highway I set the PS to tighter mode.
