5 cents at 4.00 per gallon and 20mpg = 0.25 miles.
You're not planning to show off your quarter mile times are you?

This is way off topic, but I didnt know where else to ask. Have any of you seen any vanagons in the San Diego junkyards lately? I honestly dont even know which ones usually carry VW. I'm trying to save some time by not having to spend a lot of time searching the different yards. Thanks. |

I'm hoping I can make whatever meet-up is decided upon. I may even have door panels installed by that time! I've had the Doka over a year and a half and - no door panels - the whole time. I've been chipping away at making it what I wanted it to be. And, if anyone is interested, the Doka and I went on a 3,600 mile trip in September. Stopped to visit Stephen who puts 1.8T engines in Vanagons. Is it true that he wants to be like Tim?

I'm open to suggestions, but I would point out, the Glider Port has relaxed parking available. Most of our other destinations have soccer families hovering, waiting for a parking spot. Anyway, see you Sunday (I'll bring those springs, Mark). _________________ Tim Potts

The Torrey Pines Glider Port
2800 Torrey Pines Scenic Dr, La Jolla, CA 92037
Turn into the dirt parking lot on your right, then cruise North until you get close to the end of the dirt area, we usually park up against the bluff.

Oh ok cool. It would have been a funny coincidence if you were to meet up at Sky Sailing in Warner Springs as that is my family's business, although it is in BFE. I have flown R/C's at Torrey many times, cool place. It will be nice to drive my Westy to another destination besides work. |
