I had to cut away at the bulk head to accommodate what is the equivalent of the pit man arm. I was worried about compromising the structure but after cutting into it I realized how thin the metal was. Boxed it in with 3/16 plate steel.

I know I asked what size wheels you are using a while back, what is the tire side wall that you are using. My wheels are 18" by 9" for the rear, and 16" by 8" for the front. I was thinking about using a 45 for the sidewall for both front and back, but I am not sure so.....

Wow. This was a build that I closely followed.

The cage is coming together nicely, and thanks for your business.

Exhaust system all tacked in place. Also have all the fuel components. Just need to get a filler neck welded into an aluminum pipe and we are in business.

What size tubing are you using for the cage? I'll want to talk to you about hooking up the stinger to the Subie; I'll be running one in my Coyote.

Cage is 1.5". The exhaust tubing is 2.5". Subi is that way to go.

1.5? It looks really fat...I like it! Cool
I'll have to swap out my electronic throttle body on the Subie since the stinger doesn't support the electronic accel. pedal. I need to figure out what tubing to run for the radiator too.

Lookin' good. Which Subie engine is that? It looks a good bit different from mine.

EJ25 is a 2.5 liter and by the shape of the timing belt cover, it is SOHC.

Don't use galvanized fence pipe like some installs I've seen... That said, you might want to look into the water piping from under a Toyota MR2, Fiero, Porsche Boxster, Vanagon, etc., as a source for coolant hard lines - especially if you front mount the radiator.

I used aluminum pipe for the radiator plumbing. It's more work when it comes to welding but I figured it's just better to stick with aluminum all the way.

What diameter and wall thickness do you think would work the best for the aluminum coolant lines? I'll be running the lines under the pan to the front.

What are you doing for your Temp guage.

On my car I can not tie into the ecm for the read out. The factory has it set up to go from the coolant temp sensor to the ECM out the ECM to the BIU from the BIU to the combination meter.

But the ecm needs that data from that sensor so I am going to run a line from my sensor to my guage out side the factory set up.

So I plan to get an adapter to mount the temp sensor that I bought for the VDO guage to the back side of the head where the coolant plug is.

Here is a pic of the back of a SOHC where the plug I am going to pull and put the sensor in.

The stinger has a connector that runs to the temp sensor in the water manifold. I believe that this one controlled the fans. From the water manifold I will a " universal water temp sensor adapter ( use that for e-bay search)." the stinger ecu also has a dedicated wire to run to a temp sensor and on that is dedicated to go back to a gage. I believe that this system is integrated so that those two are connected. Can anyone with experience confirm that? I am trying to figure out the whole radiator setup/ plumbing rigt now. I am having a radiator filler neck welded into a piece of aluminum pipe. I plan on running the outlet of the filler to a overflow tank (filler will be the highest point). Anyone have any feedback on this design?
