I'm curious if any of you with more chemical/product knowledge would know how to mimic this stuff? Basically trying to find a cheap, at-home solution that would work like this. Maybe cut/water-down some other commercially available sealant? Maybe something with acetone or other chemical that dries quickly.

About 2 minutes into this video there is a demonstration of a product called cps clear that looks like it might do what you need. Don't know how much it is and have never used it.

Buy a good 2 part flow grade seam sealer from an auto body supply store.

Chances are if you need that stuff you have other underlying problems. There is no substitute for doing things right.
