How many miles did you put on the 1.4:1 rockers and how was the drivabilty? as far as smooth acceleration

I bet I put about 1000 miles on them. Once I got them straightened out they were fine. You get what you pay for. If I didn't have a machine shop handy to straighten them out, I think I would want to spend a little more $ on some better quality parts.

I thought they drove great. Power came on sooner and revved a little higher. With all the little things I did too it, it was really fun to drive.

I am off to wash and wax the car. An old timer promised me it will run better. Wink

.

Oh yea, sir. You did not know? My truck always seems to gain HP after I have washed/waxed it. Feels more responsive, and light.

I was in Minot AFB, Minot, North Dakota in the mid-80's..USAF. Looks exactly like that pic...short of the houses in the background of course. Talk about desolate. You can kill all the ground hogs you want. The rabbits are taller than your shoulders. Very Happy

I wonder what it looks like now.

Butt dyno is absolutely meaningless. Anything you do to your engine will seem to make it run better if you believe it in your head.

Now go wash and wax your car. I promise it will run better.

Ah yes, more of that patented, Samba hospitality, brings a feller right down home, I reckon. Lol.

I have really enjoyed this post from original poster. I can't tell you how painful it has been sifting through unhelpful posts to try and find something like this. It is exactly what I am currently doing to my super so it is good to see each mod installed with impressions.

I remember when I had a wrx those forums were saying install cold air intakes and on and on. I bought one and car ran like crap. Made a neat sucking sound but my butt dyno told me there was a loss of power. That 250 dollar mod is sitting on a shelf.
