Absolutely, unbelievably, amazing!
I would love to see that in person - finished or not!

Thanks but after all this time, I'm looking forward to seeing it finished The upholsterer was hoping to finish up on Friday of last week. I'm afraid to call him. _________________ 71 Type 1302 Custom

Not knowing him, I'd give him an extra week or a bit more before I would call him - thinking other life/work stuff was going on with him. I know that's how life is -
-rather have him take his time.... unless it gets too long. |

Interior is finished. Just a little wiring to button up before starting it up. Getting close.

Beautiful build. Love the car. One question : why is there such a big gap between the Flash trim on the rear quarter panel and the fender beading? All of the sets I've seen installed on-line fit tighter. Is your kit original or one of Ricardo's?

Does yours install with clips or double sided tape? _________________ My Beetles :

The trim is original. It took over 30 hours of hammering, filing, sending, and polishing to get it straight again. It's installed with the original style clips.
As for where it meets the fender beading, there wasn't a whole lot of choice. I started with the angle of the end cut of the downward curved piece that starts behind the door gap. After that, I just matched the coping cut of the last piece. I've seen it installed several different ways. Personal preference I guess. _________________ 71 Type 1302 Custom
