Yeah, I am going through the same thing now with my squareback, young, silly, great ideas, trending. All crap. I should have listened to my dad, "leave the dam thing alone & drive it" Sounds a little like Tram & Bobnotch, (thanks guys) I do have one thing now.......The Samba & all of its helpers & critics. Have fun with this & keep us posted |

It's an 'N' spec wagon, so I thought it best to go panelvan.
Just need some paint now and my logo on the door!

Best to go panelvan? Are they reproduction panels or originals? _________________ 1963 Notchback - Ruby Red

my second mistake not knowing what I had was so rare

Anyway whats done is done
hope I can get it somewhere near its original condition |
The important part is that it survived!
Nearly all of them were driven into the ground and scrapped. |

Aaron if its not too much trouble could you put a copy of the list you have of Australian panelvans here on the forum ??? no need to mention names and addresses
maybe body numbers, where they are located, etc I know there are not many out there anymore. If anyone knows just how many it would be you..
looking forward to your reply _________________ 1965 Type 3 Panel Van

great looking homemade panels on the blue n spec wagon
are you going to go into production as I know a couple of people who would be interested in buying repos at the right price.
freight from NZ should be cheap enough
they look pretty close in the photo anyway.. good work!! _________________ 1965 Type 3 Panel Van

I could do with some new panels
some 50 year old rust
these panels are from a donor panelvan as mine were removed when the car was new.
lucky to have found some I guess.
its a pity they are in such poor condition.
I need a panel beater to work some magic on them !!! _________________ 1965 Type 3 Panel Van

Loan them to spinster to use as a pattern, unless he used on original set for a pattern for his new ones? Just make sure you guys have 2 good side mirrors on them! _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

Mike, Did you notice I don't have a passenger side mirror yet!!?
I have the mirror, just no mounting hole.. it's on the 'to do' list
I have not seen any original panels, so just took as many measurements and got as much info as I could get from this thread.
The one thing I didn't do was check the shape of the louvers before they were done. They're not quite right, but I can sort those.
If anyone is keen on a set, I'd be more than happy to help out. Just let me know... and freight to oz isn't too bad at all.

The edges at the pic above looks "sharp", mine more "soft"...
Cant find the pic at the moment... |

Mario if you look at pg. 6 of this post & look at the close up of Undis' post of Andrew Dodds panel it looks like they are a soft curve to the pocket. I have a set of Pedro panels & they have a soft edge as well. Stuartzickefoose, these are a VERY COOL car. _________________ I think he meant "rare", as in "not well-done" |
