Hey Mike,
yeah...going to try to get it as original as possible.
wood flooring and zinc strips are standard in australian panelvans.
still a lot to be done though...
Cheers Peter |
Nice work happening there!
Doing the full length slats on the deck as per OG?
|
I'm really liking this look...I would love to have wood paneling in the bed of my Type 3 Truck _________________ 1963 Karmann Ghia |

Yes, none too shabby! I oiled the wood in 1997, just once as it had many age related moisture stains. The interior, including the wood -slatted deck is factory fitted for Australian Panelvans. |

Where did you get your window seals?
I kind of like the white bases with amber lenses, as that's a different look, and something not regularly seen. Nice work. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Mainly the windshield seal.
They did a really nice job restoring that PV though. Damn that looks good. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

The front bullets on mine were originally orange. I changed them out for a pair of NOS clears. |

hey bobnotch,
i will ask my restorer where they got the windscreen seal from...
i take it your after the original type with slot for the chrome strip rather than the "cal look" rubber without it.
hey 1500 king,
i assumed all our aussie panelvans came out with clear lenses in the front indicators.
not that ive seen a lot of them in the flesh ( 3 or 4 i guess ) but they all have been clear.
are you running 6v ???? can you get amber globes in 6v ???
i may go to clear lenses with orange amber as im running 12v now..
always thought amber was easier to see... _________________ 1965 Type 3 Panel Van

Yeah, I've already got a Cal Look seal here. I'm really after a better fitting windscreen seal (with the trim groove) than what I've already got. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
