The set comes for my one owner PV:

Look at the rubber mats. Perfect condition. It deserves original panels...

And... i have my hands on 2 more original set's of panels... Stay tuned!

Have kept this one quiet, but finally have it rolling out of the shed.

1968 Squareback
It's an 'N' spec wagon, so I thought it best to go panelvan.

Just need some paint now and my logo on the door!

I have been following this forum for 12 months or so and finally decided to join after speaking to Aaron Britcher. The most important thing now the panelvan. 1965 Australian built. body nunber PV370. chassis number 365201152. engine number 0749828. Bought by my father on 1st april 1966. The panels were removed and a back seat fitted by the dealer before delivery. Our family of 5 used this as daily driver until 1976 or 1977 when it was involved in an accident. A new car was needed for the family so he purchased a 1972 type 3 station wagon. My father bought the panelvan back from the insurance company as a project for us to repair as I was getting my drivers licence in 1979. The panelvan was repaired and modified by someone who didn't know its real value. (me).. This was my daily drive until 1990 when after getting married and starting a family the car was retired to the shed. SO 24 YEARS and a lot of dust and spiders later here it is...........

Well, you guys never sold it so you're good for the restoration! It should go back in the shed to be blown apart and sand blasted. Bag & tag each individual fender bolts etc for the re-assembly. You gonna put a varnished wood deck in it? A steel deck with a full rubber mat would be more practical but sacrilegious? Very Happy

Hi Mike,

yeah plan is to keep the varnished wood deck in the back.
its not all there but shouldn't be too hard to get back to original.
thought I'd post a photo for you to see.

part where the seat was needs replacing and Aaron Britcher has been
very helpful with trying to source more of the floor rails.

I think I would like to be able to blame the previous owner.
I did some stupid things to this car that are going to bite me on the bum.
My first mistake being young
my second mistake not knowing what I had was so rare
I guess 25 years ago no one cared too much about type 3's
Anyway whats done is done
hope I can get it somewhere near its original condition
