Beautiful car! Reminds me of Fjiord Blue. _________________ "Criticism comes easier than Craftsmanship"

Thanks, It's the color that was original from the factory, Horizon Blue.
Real similar. |

Just installed one of those "ambulance" part number NOS back-up switches (between the speedo and cable end) on my freshly restored '59 Double-Cab, and yes, you have to have vehicle movement in reverse for several feet before the switch can illuminate the reverse light assembly.
The "hooded" Hella reverse light assembly can be seen on the left side of the rear bumper blade. Works as an accessory basically the same on a Type 1, 2 or 3.
Same thing to turn it off!!! You must move forward several feet for the light to turn off again. If you just back-up and stop and fail to move forward, the back-up light will remain on. Cool vintage accessory, but you need to be aware of it's quirks. I have another set of ambulance switch and hooded light to install on my upcoming '57 Kabriolett restoration

When I back up into the garage I enjoy getting out and seeing it still on. i believe it does go out with the key. Still works great. |

When I have had one on the past, I hook it up to keyed power to make sure it turns off when I remove the key. |
That's how mine is hooked up as well. _________________ WANTED: Henry Veale Santa Rosa plate frames
