For me it's a Bus intermittent wiper switch for a 71... I saw one on an eBay auction from Italy about 10 years ago and never seen another one since...

So I didn't know that 1969 bays had disk brakes. Are you looking for '71 wheels?

A NOS Champagne edition clock or genuine/era correct VDO 6k RPM Tachometer, several NOS thermostats, etc... That and a local/tallented welder to put on my replacement rocker panels for a reasonable fee. (hint)

I bought German disc brakes for my '69 camper and installed them. The bolt pattern is wide five, but I need a 15 inch wheel to clear the caliper. Bought some Chinese wheels with a specified load rating and plan to buy tires. '71 wheels won't fit the lug nut pattern. Unable to find a VW load rating for the stock 14 inch, drum-brake, wheels. Considering the stock 14" wheel with spacers, but would prefer not to use spacers. At this point I carry two spares, 14' for the rear and 15'' for the front. The spare for the front is mounted on the front bumper. The hubcap on the spare covers the air horns.

Look for early (split) bus rims. 15"x5 lug. I bought a set for my 68 Westfalia, because I wanted a higher profile and aggressive tread tires. I just had tires mounted yesterday, but my tire shop is being really cool and mounted 2 different sizes to see which will fit the best. Here is a pic of the rim and hubcap, before tire mounting.

I'd sure like to find a source for wiper blade refills like had always been easily obtainable until very recent years. It's rediculous having to buy the whole blade assembly when only the rubber insert is needed. Since the rubber deteriorates quickly in our sun, frequently it is shot without having ever used the wipers even once. But hey, we finally did get some rain earlier in the week.

Very nice unit, but according to section 4.3.8 of those instructions it won't work with 68-72 wipers (and maybe later ones too, not enough coffee yet) as is doesn't support dynamic braking, same issue as most aftermarket delay setups Vs: VW.

thanks for the reply peaceful warrior

I have 15" wide-five early bus wheels on my camper now and have put about 2000 miles on them last year without problems. But, I really don't think they have the proper load rating for the later bus. I've bought 15" wide-five Chinese wheels from a socal source and they look sturdy and will use them next year and consider buying another two for the rear, but then I would have to buy different chains.

A complete under dash A/C kit and a side tent. Many leads have led nowhere so far. All in due time, I hope.

I would love to have a Sunroof Wind deflector, a speedo with a trip meter, another full length middle seat and some Bosch Euro Headlights. I would be happy with that!!
