Yes it is amazing some of the parts have not been lost. That row that looks "empty" of sockets is actually factory if you look at the pic that macintosh posted
I bought it off the son of the original owner who said he bought it back "around World War 2" ! |

Can I bother you to take the tools out of the box and take a picture of the box empty and also of the underside of the ratchet and maybe a close up of a socket or two. |

remember it was a time when people cared for what they had and repaired/re-used things.
most people had only a fraction of the "stuff" we do now, so everything could have a correspondingly greater value to the owner. |

Got this 179 adjustable wrench from France these days. I´m far from being objective, but I like the patina and it works absolutely fine after maybe 80 years...

Thanks- note that the socket driver/wrench whatever you want to call it never even had a Hazet stamp on it originally- just the paper decal which wore off long ago. Oddly enough all the other tools in the set have the Hazet stamp along with "special material" stamped on them
Have compared the socket driver to other aged Hazet tools and am convinced it is original. |

Here is most of my Hazet tools
after I shot this pix I remembered the Allen wrenches and a few large metric sockets and screw drivers
The only Hazet tool I ever broke is the 3/8" flex extension near the crowfoot wrenches

Bought a Hazet 880ST (ST=standard) 3/8" socket wrench set in metal case.
Sockets are in metric: 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21 and 22mm.
Have to figure out what year it is (somewhere in the 70's I guess).

Here's is my 1961 Hazet tool kit. The original owner had it in his VW for only two years before putting it in his closet for fifty years. All original.
