I'm not that sure of the originality of the box and/or colour because i've never owned a Hazet item in this green color.. Any guess where to look for? It's sure looks old including the paint.

I pick this up on ebay and it's about 2/3 the size of all the other boxes I have seen.
Anyone know the model and year.
Love the smaller more portable size.

Here is a page from the 1938s catalog, maybe you find the fitting size in there:

It seems to be made in the '40s, but I don´t have any documents from that area.

In the beginning of the 1950s there was only one size available: 53x20x20cm.

Regards,
Philipp

Just picked up this beauty with a bunch of tools included. Does anyone have a photo of the lock cover piece and key? I'd like to try and find a replacement.

Nice condition with original patina!

The cabinet (No. 100) was built in 1952 and the Assistents are at max. from about 1957 (No. 162).

Hallo !
Is there anyone that has a spare key for my Hazet 100 tool cabinet from 1958 for sale?
Or maybe someone has a picture or drawing of the key with measurements so I can make a key?
Pål

I found the right ratchet (with round black handle) I was missing for my Hazet 1/2" socket set:

Well...

First - the small "azet", also known in colloquial speech as small "a" was used until 1965 (except some pre-war wrenches...), when they changed into capital letters.

to 1) a) b) c): That´s a good question, plus the sizes of c) are not stamped in a square. Is on my research-list, too. Also there are differences with the underlines. Should be quite good to date, but we have no reference yet.
However I assume the "in square stamped" sizes are older.

to 2): The No. 350 was introduced in 1938 "Special Material - Garantie" and went out of production in the 1940s. (The 450s wrenches exist since 1933 by the way!)

to 3): These are from tool kits - 2918/2919 BMW motorcycle (1961) and the others too. They have a different finish because they were made "only" for tool kits and had to be cheaper. So they saved the work step of polishing before chromium plating.

to 4): Top to bottom
• 1 a DIN-wrench, guessed late 1950s
• 2 a No. 400 "Chrom-Manganium" wrench from the late 1920s, early 30s !
• 3 a very early No. 450 from possibly 1940s
• 4 a DIN-wrench, again guessed late 50s

to 5): D.B.G.M = Deutsches Bundes-Gebrauchsmuster --> registered design (pre-war: D.R.G.M = Deutsches Reichs-Gebrauchmuster)
