Near Taos, New Mexico Feb. 1991
My then-GF and I spent several days in Santa Fe NM for a ski/sightseeing vacation. Driving back from the Angel Fire ski area we were on the outskirts of a small town where I noticed this Ghia convertible in a field. Behind it is a Jensen Interceptor, and to the right is a rare (1 of 105) mid 60's Alfa Romeo 2600 Zagato.

^ ^ Ghia premier/press intro in the town of Georgsmarienhuette, south of Osnabrueck in 1955? Seeing how well placed the cars are and the hubcaps/wheels are positioned so that the VW logo on the hubcaps are upright? German precision and attention to detail back then. |

It just dawned on me. The OP, Anchovy, never specified if it was just Type 1 Ghias in this thread. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

That one guy looks like Matthew McConaughey. |
I'm pretty sure that guy in the suit talking to the smartly dressed woman is Luigi Segre, the guy who designed our beloved Karmann Ghia.
The smartly dressed woman is Mrs Karmann the wife of Wilhlem Karmann
Do a google image search on his name and you'll see other images taken on that day.
