Soo....a guy has a set of these rims he pulled off a 79 bus. He says they will bolt right on with the included lug nuts. I searched, but I am not sure they are the same offset. Does any one know how well they work on an '85 weekender?
For $60 the set it is hard to pass up the deal though I really want 15". He doesn't know about spacers, but to me it's a deal breaker.
Thanks _________________ __________________________

Well, you might find something on the wheel threads here, but here is what I'm thinking- The same wheels were used on '71 buses all the way through '91 Vanagons, so I would think that if the wheels fit on a '79, they would fit on a Vanagon, unless they were a close fit on the bus, and there is different clearance issue on the Vanagon, they should fit.
In terms of mounting, buses have studs and nuts on all four wheels, while 2WD Vanagons have studs and nuts on the rear, and bolts on the front, so you'll have to get a set of bolts.

there was JUST a thread with a White Doka with these rims on it..
I'd say yer gtg. but make sure the lug seats are correct to the rims, there's a differant styles (cone/Ball seat)
and man I'm liking them.
*edit, steal deal on rims appear gone, hope it was a sambaista

My rikens are ET35 and 15".
Only thing to do is remove the bolts on the rear drums so they fit flat.
I am running snow tires on them for the winter, I have some 16" for the summer
for $60 you HAVE to get them. |
