I was thinking the same thing. They are all sitting outside in SC. With all the rain that we get here in the SE US, I wonder how much will truly be left to work with when (or IF) he ever gets around to them. Too bad this stash isn't in Arizona _________________ Wanted:

Thats how I found the area. He's not too far from my parents house. However, these buses are by no means a secret to the locals in that area. _________________ WTB Brundage Motors - Jacksonville, Fla Plate Frame

"Regional One" is a clue but due to the large helicopter crash that hat could be everywhere in the state. The guy they picked up the street owned a Trucking company. U saw the sign when they knocked on the door. T.F. Turner Trucking located in Moore, SC not too far from spartansburg.
Any scouts in the area to report back?? Better than seeing them turn to dust. |

Here is the trucking company info from searching the web. I know it is the correct phone number because history channel failed to censor the last 3 numbers. U could call and ask where exactly charlie lives in town.

Here's an idea:
Since it is scripted anyways, fire them both and just have Danielle driving around doing all the picking. _________________

So we heard so much crying a few pages back over how the "Pickers" stole the Von Dutch XAVW....
Just curious why nobody is screaming over the price offer on the 23 window..
Does that mean he was too high...
I know pre 67 Transporter prices have become ridiculous in lthe last 10 years, but whats the thought on the 5K price offer. Was the offer for the 23 window at all in the ball park? _________________ aka Ken

Im not a bus guy, but I agree over the last 10 or so years the prices have gone through the roof. I know that early deluxes are not growing on trees, and I may be still running off of 1980's or 90's prices, but when I saw it, in that condition, my first thought was $3500. So when Mike said 4k I thought the guy would jump on it. When he didnt, and Mike bumped it up to 5k I was like, wow! I was even more shocked when the owner didnt accept the new offer.
All I know is that I hope this guy has an incredible retirement package, because the deluxe alone will set you back $30 to 40k to restore it, and he actually thinks he is going to restore all of them. _________________ WANTED: Henry Veale Santa Rosa plate frames

| I couldn't tell what the bottom half of the bus looked like. I assume holes everywhere so for that price it was probably was still a low offer, then again all these buses on here and tv auctions are hard to gauge, most the time we don't know the real sale price. Ebay is the best way. They had a '63 23 window sell for 17,600$ in rough shape and reserve wasn't met a month ago. So maybe the '58 $5k offer was way low. |

This show has to be somewhat contrived (if not totally). I cannot imagine two guys and a camera crew showing up totally unannounced and all these folks just answer the door without an ounce of "WTF!! " It seems like they are always expected. Likewise, tough to judge the response to the $4k initial offer, then the $5k final offer. The guy seemed to think the $5k was a tempting offer, but not enough to pry him off his desires to restore it. Maybe after the first take in which the offer was made, they had to regroup and ask the guy to "pretend" it was a tempting offer.
And I agree with others who think that Mike's voice and persona is cringeworthy. I only watched this episode because of the previews showing the VWs. I'm always in the mood for ogling VWs . Otherise, I am over this show _________________ Wanted:
