Hi all

I tried to draw it on this split just to let you guys know what I meant (i know the pic is not a 11g, but had no pic taken)

anyone knows what it is used for?

It could be for a flagpole holder, such an embassy/diplomatic car, like in this link:

The hole looks pretty identical (just 90degrees turned), but sounds promissing..

anyone also even seen this? pics?
I looked like it was factory made, not just a hole drilled and cut out, so was it an option?

thanks

Hello,

to me is a hole made for an radio antenna due to easy access to the front hood, I think this was common using the radios under the dash. Rolling Eyes

1970-80s car alarms were activated with a key before remote transmitters were the norm.

I never saw, and I think most of the people never saw...

Should be interesting to know the M Codes from that ragtop maybe there was something from the factory.

But has I said I keep in mind there is something in relation with antenna or that pole flag and who knows? could be also to fix some badge???

This is what I meant

It looks like you'll have to put something in it through the hole, and pull it down to lock it.

Here's another possible reason why there is an odd shaped hole on the front quarter panel. Maybe some kind of accessory light was mounted there?
