Just ordered mine as well, site said 3-4 months. I'll be happy if they actually stick to that timeline, but given the status of my restoration, a year will be fine too, ha.

Good afternoon,

I have no idea what S722 is.
Does anyone have any clue?

Well, I just got my certificate for a 1303 purchased new in Holland in 1973.

I have the same S722 code, it is probably a special order from Dutch VW to sell in Holland. I have the original sales receipt of the new car, it says it was made in Belgium (!!!) and it was sold with Volkswagen Radio, Tarpaulin, Luggage Rack, Travel Kit. Also it has heated windscreen, and clock. The radio is a Philips model with Volkswagen Lettering. The car also has an extra loudspeaker under the back seat.

Dutchmen, if you happen to learn anything, I wish to learn also.

I'm about to order a VW Birth Certificate, but I'm a bit confused what I should put in the "Model*" text area.

I own a 1955 VW Ragtop Beetle, do I put "Ragtop Beetle" in the field? or "Type 1"? or something else?

Thanks for your help!

Hello all,
I am looking to get my cert. for my 65 convertible.
I notice on the Stiftung http://automuseum.volkswagen.de/en.html website it is asking if I want a "certificate" and/or a "data sheet." Anyone know the difference between the two? The Cert is 65 Euro and the "data sheet" is 40 Euro.

Thank you!

Jon

I have tried several times to order the certificate and pay with my credit card, however the link to the credit card site is in GERMAN.

has anyone else had this problem?

Oh I forgot to post pics. Anyway, yes it was German I'm pretty sure, but google chrome translated the page for me.

There's an English link on their page - it's probably easier to use that version.
Unless you mean the part where you actually pay, then you can ignore my comments.

Yes I click on English and complete the request, when I get to the credit card form it displays in German. I hope I haven't ordered the certificate each time I have accessed the request page

Finally got around to posting this. I ordered it in July of 2015
a month after I bought the car.
Got it in January of 2016.

So if I read this correctly, the car is an Early 74 Super Beetle
that came into the U.S. in New Orleans.

And from what I was able to get from speaking to the first owner son,
(found the phone number in service receipts I got with the car)
The car was originally sold in Pennsylvania in Dec 73 or Jan of 74 and spent
its life there until I bought it and took it to N.J.

Now if I could just find out the originally dealer. Original owners son couldn't remember.

Just ordered a birth Certificate and data sheet for my Apr 1954 oval window that I have owned since 1983 (purchased from Jaime Lopez at Vintage Parts in Glendale). I hope it includes the engine number because I think I still have the engine in storage. I can't wait.

They don't provide the engine # anymore but if you gave them the engine # they will confirm it's original.

You've owned that car a long time!

Received mine today for my 1960 Beetle. Ordered it 9/28/16.

113 VW De Luxe Sedan
34 DIN-PS, 1.2 litre
L349 Jade Green
Upholstery Dust Green*
4 July 1960
Darmstadt/Germany
no options

*or leatherette Dust Green, wheel rim L442 Marsh Green (swamp green), wheel disc L87 Pearl White

Also received a letter stating the engine in the car is the original.

I'm very happy with all of this and now further convinced that the body filler on the B pillar may be hiding actual working semaphores.

I contacted them wanting to know the color of my car, the build date, and interior color. They got back to me and said they'd look up the information for 25 Euros. They got back to me in two days with the information I asked for. What I found funny is that they gave me most of the information that a birth certificate would contain, but they said it would take 5 months to actually provide the entire certificate.
