The first two landed yesterday and are being tested. A dozen of them have been ordered and will be available shortly. Unfortunately, that volcano in Iceland has caused them to be delayed. Some changes have been made. The German craftsmen making them have made a change for us. They are 6 volt and 12 volt capable. They are autosensing on the voltage. That increased the cost a little. The price is going to be $425 plus shipping. Also, there is going to be a $25 core charge for a clock. The only clocks that will work for this are 1969 and later. If you send a clock dated 8-68 or later, no core charge. The clock will have to be complete with a nice chrome ring. No bent up rings, since it's nearly impossible to straighten them out. I'm not taking orders or money yet. If you want to claim one of the first dozen, you can PM or e-mail me and get on the list. 6 red needle and 6 white needle have been ordered and should be available before the Classic.
The face is done as close as possible to original. The marks are laser cut into the ring and the numbers are screen printed just like the originals. Each tach will have a number stamped on the back side.
Here's the porn:

So what; I know these are out there now. No-one has any feedback or photos in situ? I got mine (thanks Buster) and let me tell you; it is gorgeous. I'm just bummed that I won't be seeing it in action any time soon. I just didn't want to miss the boat on one. Let's hear back from the other buyers. How do you like it? Is it everything you thought it would be? _________________ Mike S.

It's a perfect match, perfect fit, and I could not be happier. The appearance and texture inside and out look factory. It is no hack, it's as clean front and back as any NOS unit. |

This is one of those rare times where I would say its better than the "real" ones. New components-modern not some questionable 40 year old elec-tech. They even re-plated the metal bits.
Bob take some pics-vid of yours in action. _________________

I like the sweep, too. 9 oclock position is minimum, 12 noon is a good middle rpm, and 3 o'clock is redline. Easy to see without squinting to read numbers or tick marks, and at least 180 degrees from min to max. |
