Have a 81 vanagon engine was wondering if I was able to flycut heads to increase compression ratio and by how much? I have a set of dual 40mm dellortos and know the van engine has low compression ratio. The engine is going into a porsche 914 and would like more than 67 hp!

Thanks a bunch!

You would be better served to used flat topped pistons in your build. I was thinking that the camshaft in 914 was more aggressive and helped the power range out of the engine to meet the needs of the 914 as opppsed to low end grunt for the vanagon.
