^ Cool

I've been toying with the idea of doing a RHD conversion and a ragtop clip on my beige big window. Laughing

flattening agents can be added to any paint color.. base, mid and top coats! adding pearls will give it a "satin" look.

hot rod flatz is just Omni paint with flattener added to it, from what I understand. I heard that if you peel the hot rod flatz label off the can, the omni label is underneath it. Laughing

I used rustoleum satin and a few coats of flat clear on mine, sanded between coats, turned out killer IMO and no one believes I did it with cans in my garage

Used it three times, no labels under the Hotrod flats label.

It's cheap enough doesn't really bother me either way.

yes sir my nazi lowrider Laughing the whole car was done at my house, upholstery and all...(bought mom a new fridge in trade for her making the seat covers and door panels)

Jeff right?? I know your face, know your car, know you run with the sellersville
VOLKS WAGON crew, i'm bad with names until about the 4th time I meet people...probably because i'm always banged up at VW shows haha

I spent a LOT of time sanding between coats, has about 6 coats of paint and 4 coats of flat clear, all bought off the shelf at home depot. rustoleum satin paint, krylon flat clear on top. I did Brian's wagon the same way, and I plan on repainting my 85 jetta in a flat color too, probably silver with an obnoxious red interior

it's all about the prep...but you know that

are you repainting the purple bug? looking forward to hanging with you guys this year. you need to get your crew out to some of the OCOD gtg's when the weather breaks. we always end up drinking somewhere.

I used rusto cans on my car and people ask me if it's the OG paint Laughing

I got some nasty can control, I've been painting stuff with cans since I was a kid.
