Hi, while prepping my right D piller for one of 10c's oil coolers, I discovered the foil and paper snorkle tube that runs down from the air scoop had collapsed inside. It looks like years of water had caused the tube to delaminate and oops, an already restrictive air intake became more so. I won't be surprised to find my plugs looking a little rich. Jim

Yup, had that same problem with my 91 2wd automatic. It would idle fine, but wouldn't get out of the driveway. Apparently, the 2wd is a very easily collapsible tube, but on the Syncro is hard plastic (I'm sure there are variables, but those are the two I had to compare at that moment.) To really aggravate things, this problem surfaced after I replaced the wiring harness, so it had me looking there, instead of at the more obvious.........which, of course, is only obvious as hind-sight.
In short, this is a good thing to look at!
