Sorry for the crappy iphone pics, but i was too lazy to load the batteries of my cam |
that has to be the most beautiful 58-59 original interior I have EVER seen! WOW! im in shock right now- purely amazing |
I had a og paint capri blue 58 and it like alot of 58-59 had the water blue and grey interior mine had vynil seats tho.. but the gry in the door cards fades to an off white that we have all seen so bad.. that iterior you have there is the best OG 58-59 interior i have ever seen hands down. You can even faintly see the diamond pattern . It is perfect.. The only tough decison would be to run it in the car or sell it and put your first kid through college lol.. I bet you could get a TON for that set.... Killer score man. _________________ RustWagens

Wow, congrats!
Mine are pretty nice, but I would love to have an NOS pair.
The longer one should be for the passenger side, so it will clear the mirror when you flip it up or down. _________________ WANTED: Henry Veale Santa Rosa plate frames

think the pushrod from the brake pedal to the master cylinder might be unique. From an OG 58. Anyone else seen this in their 58 or 59?

| Ive only seen the ones in the lower pic on 65 up cars. Ive owned 58,59,60,61,62 cars and they always had the thin casting rod like the one in the first pic. If there are small differences in the thin casting I cannot say but the large one I have only seen used with the stamped steel pedal assemblies. |

Hi all, I came across this thread on accident a couple weeks ago looking up my paint code.
There's been some great discussions between the 58 and the 59.
The talk about the differences between our years and the others is very informative.(most I knew, some new things I learned).
Like most people here I didn't want to respond or give input, till I read all
86 pages.
Most of the 58-59 differences I learned while doing my own 58 pan-off restoration. Since then 58's have became my favorite year(paint colors & Int. colors).

My pushrod came from either my '64 or from the '59 parts car (or was already in my '64 but some other year.) It looks similar to your pictures, long body with short rod at the end. The difference is that mine is more like a smoothed I-beam rather than your tube shape body. It is not nearly so sharp cornered as the oval era one shown. _________________

Hear's some better int. shots I found on the gallery from 2006 BOR!
This is the rear seat delete(for less weight ) I had WW make a matching german square weave oatmeal colored baja piece.
Hey Stale Air, love your car. Yours is the only 2nd light bronze 58 I've seen. The first was Shin's original paint 58 from Japan's Let's Play at the classic 05'.
I got to say your shine is unreal, that first page shot of the fender is primo (the above shot), I love the curves of a o.g. 58 fender under metallic _________________ 1958 L334 Type 113

Thanks T-Bar, I appreciate it. Btw, do you have any pics of Shins's 58? I would love to see it. Over on the 58-59 forum we now have I believe 4 L245 cars listed. Pretty cool for a not so popular color. _________________ WANTED: Henry Veale Santa Rosa plate frames

For a picture of Shin's car you'd have to do a search of the 2005 classic weekend at WCCR. His car was up front by the office door by a vert I believe and mine. Good luck
Here's a small color picture I found in Let's Play #24
