Wow, I am impressed!!! The sand blast method, do you load up a few layers of duct tape at the cut line? Do you blast inside and out? How do you smooth the edges? What kind of wire do you use in your MIG? I have found that the bead is incredibly hard after welding and needs some serious grinding. How do you metal finish the hard weld? I am currently patching up a rusty Bug and the MIG works much better than the TIG. One small speck of contamination and it blows through with the TIG. I look forward to seeing the car completed.

thanx man.... yes.. and also foil tape it tuff... and resist the sand very well.... yes inside and out.... i sanded the edges by hand in the same direction of the cut.....i use a .023 wire...yes i finish all my welds...with the edge of a cutting wheel... tig is best in a very clean and controlled enviroment... Thank you. And yes we are gearn' up to tub the rear wheel wells so we can run taller tires in the back. Also custom skirts. : )
