I got this seat support with a lot of other parts in a 57 but have never seen a support with "clamps" before.
They are on the battery side but not sure what they are supposed to do.
Is this rail really from an oval? If so anyone have an idea what they are for?
Thanks |

derluftwagen,
To me the "clamps" look like they are for wire management.
Perhaps the support bar is for a later model beetle with the voltage regulator under the rear seat.

If you place it in the car you will probably find its to long. It looks like it's for a later model car. |

Could be wrong as it's been a while since I had it, but I think the rear support for 62 Beetles had clamps to hold the rear heater tubing under the seat. |

Remove the ('62-only) clamps as i'd bet all those rails are the same - otherwise - z _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD

Have you posted a WTB in the classifieds? I bet there is at least 1 floating around out there. 🤷♂️ _________________ Even YOU can prevent FIRES!

It will not work in a pre 57 car. it is too long. ovals are smaller. _________________ Dad's 4/55 Oval
