I was trying to search for pictures of beetles built for road racing, vintage mainly or even cars raced today, and I couldn't find a nice collection of pictures.

So, if there isn't a thread already started for this topic, lets see what pics you have save on your hard drives or have come across surfing the interweb!

This is my "show" road racer, built as a Kafer-Cup class 1 race car. I do drive it and it is fun on a nice twisty road. The dark wheels are a new addition as I got tired of the silver.

A few of mine from 1971 are here:

Midwestern Council Sports Car Club specifications for Volkswagen Sedan (VS) class. Chassis is a 1962 with 1600 single port motor. Trans used short 3rd and 4th gears. Suspension was lowered using Adjust-a-Drop on the beam and decambered rear. A 3/4 inch sway bar and heavy duty Sears shocks completed the set up.

My German is a little rusty but according to the owner's website, it's a custom A-arm setup utilizing uniball links with no stabilizer bar and a custome steering knuckle.

THE picture is the first photo of the white modified Super minus fenders above.
Anyone know what the roof spoiler is from? Or is it a custom piece, I've seen them before on other bugs here and there. Anyone have any info?

Thanks.

It's a Remmele roof spoiler. Remmele parts are notoriously hard to get in the U.S. but aircooled.net has a listing for a carbon fiber roof spoiler which is probably very similar.
