After spending the last 7+ years dreaming of a barn find beetle, my dreams finally came true. I found this 1969 bug by the name of Oscar, she was given this name back in the 70's, it stood for "Our Super Car". It was originally purchased at Corbett Motors LTD. Of Winnipeg Canada and spent most of its life garaged around Seattle. Still today the car only has a documented 65,000 miles on it, It was said that in late 70, the motor needed a valve job but in turn was parked and stayed parked. I purchased it from the second owners who where given the car 10+ years ago with plans of restoring it, unfortunately that never happened and a move made it impossible to hold onto the car any longer. Thats where I came into the picture, found her advertised for sale and just could not pass up the deal on such a beautiful original car.
My plans for the car currently are to keep it as factory as possible, It will be my daily driver starting next year, so stock is most practical for me.
To do List
*brake job
*hose and line replacement
*engine rebuild
*dents pull
*seats recovered
* List never ends!
Enjoy

Finished up the 1600cc single port buildup, along with allot of work on the car itself. She is finally a driver! Many updates to come.
Rebuilt the original heads
Mahle pistons just incase boost came into the picture
Powder coated bk08
Paint has some life left!
(4/26/12) Marks the first day in over 25years Oscar drove under her own power!
And how she sits today!
