Someday people will learn how to utilize all of the information that's right here at their fingertips on this site.

Unladen weight that is, not GVW. The title for my 70 when I got it was listed as 3,200, across the scales it was 2627, use the unladen for title purpose especially if you have a state that sets the registration charge by weight, lighter is better, in no way does it effect the GVW. |

If the people at the DMV (sometimes they can be difficult ) won't take VW's word for what it weighs. You can take any vehicle to a truck stop or scrap yard with a certified scale and have it weighed there. _________________ 1979 Type I Convertible |
