I had never heard of it, but I plan to read it.

I liked it a lot but I'm also a fan of Donald Miller in general. It's a fun book about a journey across the country in which the author learns some things about himself and about God. He talks often of the bus he and his friend travel in.

Very nice camper, Kirk. Have fun.

Well, got some work done this weekend in the sun shine. Started with a new engine seal...

Just a slight difference with the old one.

While installing the engine seal, I found a good and bad. First, I found the mint condition mosquito screen. Nice.

And that someone at some point cut a big ass hole to replace the fuel sender. Sad

Then I removed my current wheels and tires. They were load appropriate, but a bit cracky.

All the wheels are original to the bus according to the build date vs the date stamped on them, so they will be kept and powdercoated silver later. So I put my brand spanking new 0 mile Vancos and previously painted white wheels on the bus. Turned out pretty nice, and ride great. Man I love these tires.

I hear that for sure. I love my bus, can't wait to get back behind the wheel. I'm hoping everything comes together pretty smoothly next week. I got some great new toys or it as well, fuel pressure gauge, CHT gauge, etc.

Well, Kirk actually said it best in one if my threads: "It's not a bucket, it's the bucket". Original equipment and now quite rare, some selling for upwards of $300 these days.

Yes, very true. I make delicious bologna soup in my Mr Westy Bucket. I'm not sure why Kirk mounted his bucket to his spare tire, but this is how I store mine; it keeps the soup warm much longer.

Flew off the nose going down the highway one time. Picture this. Driving. Suddenly your windshield is full of vinyl grinning horror. You struggle to reach it and pull it down about the time it flies over the roof. Your shorts will never be the same.

@ Dan. As tempting as balogna soup sounds, Imma take a pass. In hindsight I should have mounted the bucket inside, yes. Wink
