Nice, but seriously, it seems that they did not use the best of the best to build it, nor actually do any thing really that unique.

Is this a dreamer price at $80K?

Nice pix taken near the airport and at Barry's house (good fog!) but
I'm curious as to why 'the owner' is selling this 'Ultimate Escape Machine'...

All those fancy gadgets, but I didn't see a single cup holder. My Ultimate Escape includes beverages. Smile

I'm not wild about the location of the compressor.
I agree for the that kind of money I'd be wanting Recaros and at least a TruckFridge!

Looks like that Tristar syncro sold. Anyone know who bought it, or if he got the asking price? Nice rig, but wow...

You're kidding right? Less than half of the asking price?? Maybe it was another red doka...not sure it was worth $31K, but definitely more than $14.5K!?

Yes, just sold this afternoon - the whole package.

I have to agree with Karl on this one. There is nothing wrong with a person making a profit. He was helping a friend and fortunately, the friend made some good money at it! Good for him!

ggrrr placed an order with Bus Depot on March 9th and found out on the 21st, it will be shipped on the 22nd. Is this indicative of their habits?

WHile I like and do occasionally use busdepot, it is best if you preplan your needs and order in advance of your project deadlines..
but still a good VW hobby based parts business (IMO)

Well gee wizzerkers, 13 days between placing the order and the order being mailed out sorta negates my preplanning. Now it will be up to another 14 days to get it as considered an International order. 5 little products but the cable clamps are the most necessary. Oh well I learned and I'll remember. Rolling Eyes I'm big on communicating if there is a delay. But it is still a ggggrrrrr Smile

Yeah, while they have a decent selection and pricing it would be faster and more satisfying for me to take off from work and drive up there (5-6 hours away) to get my stuff than wait for it to be shipped. Drives me crazy because I was a territory rep in a parts biz where I routinely lost out on getting orders because my company took two days to fill and deliver orders over that distance and a competitor could do it overnight, while BD seems to take a week to even begin thinking about starting to initiate the task of processing the order. Bless 'em for providing the products we need, but order now for your summer and fall projects.

I've had the opposite experience with Bus Depot.
Everything I've ordered has arrived fast (I'm probably 1 UPS zone away).
I need to order a bunch of shift linkage stuff, so we'll see how that goes.

The 13 days here were between them getting the order and them SHIPPING it. The length of time it takes once shipped is beyond their control. The length of time between taking order, confirming shipping costs and then shipping = 13 days which is my issue. That's basically 2 weeks of sitting on the order!!! But as I said, I'll remember this. Cool

I have often ordered from Bus Depot and they have always shipped my orders promptly. I have always asked when the order would ship and they have only missed their stated date once. And that was shipped within a few days.
