Dang !!! if your going to take a picture, at least sweep off the sidewalk so the oil leaks don't show or just drive it to a clean area and then take the picture. |

Tranny has crapped out.
Add $3500 to the purchase price. |

This one is funny:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1723168
It was posted in Nov. 2014 at $12000. A few days ago I noticed it was
relisted at $12500. Now it just came up again - at $13500!!! That's great strategy. If your van doesn't sell after 3 months, of course just raise the price!! What a great idea. |

Well-known VW repair shop in the Roanoke VA area, great guy who stands behind his work. Many of us told him it was under-priced for the quality of the van. It's still a screaming deal at $13500, and he can certainly wait until the spring market opens up. |

And it appears from the description that Mark has done further work recently that might justify the increase. Similar to those price-will-go-up-as-I-continue-working-on-it ads. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |

I hesitate to post this here, because I wouldn't want the bidding to get to a point where it would no longer be a good value:

Kidding! I can't imagine what the point of that listing is. Either a joke or an enterprising kid trying to earn a few bucks? _________________ Joe T.

This must be a joke, who puts a reserve on a $2 item? |
A kid who's brand new to ebay, with only 1 previous transaction? _________________ One of these days I'm gonna settle down,

This is an interesting one. It appears to be powered by a stock 1600 air-cooled engine (4th picture). Never saw that one before. I like the lights and the headlamp wipers. Judging from the sliding door it appears to be originally gray.

OMG! why would you do that! If it was underpowered before, now it's even worse. It probably runs hot also without the proper engine tin to direct air over the cooling fins. _________________ Currently:

There is no OEM factory engine tin for a type I motor in a Vanagon chassis. Custom sheet metal to separate the hot air of the motor from going into the cooling fan intake.
2nd thought: Will type IV motor tin work on a type I engine in a Vanagon? _________________
