Sorry, no slotted wide 5's here, JH. Nice B.I. vehicle spotting, by the way. And I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for that cool brewery panel truck!
I saw a very cool custom blue bug with chrome wheels/fat tires this past Friday afternoon (9/6, I'm pretty sure) heading northbound (and/or westbound, now that I think about it...) on CT Route 22 out of Northford Center, heading toward Clintonville/North Haven. Never saw it before--looked really nice.
Have also seen another different air-cooled VW in the helicopter company parking lot recently--this looked like maybe a '74 or so Super Beetle Convertible, gold with black top, maybe chrome wheels too (not sure on those)--looked nice. _________________ Stock Steve

Spotted these guys at a junk yard in Clinton MA in July. I'm a Type 3 guy, but figured maybe one of you might be looking for parts/a project if they're still there.

We were at the Heavnly Donuts cruise nite, 9/22/2013, Derby, CT, with Doug the '60 Bug. This is a very active, very long-running cruise nite, every Sunday evening. The Route 34 location, just off the Wilbur Cross Parkway, and the fact that Heavnly Donuts' parking lot adjoins a much larger shopping center, makes for a lot of spectator traffic also. Fun time!

Great day to "Get The Bugs Out" in Deep River, CT, last Sunday (3/23/2014)! We had a great day, driving the '70 Bug out there, and enjoyed much socializing! Great job by CT VW Association organizing! www.ctvwa.org

Good to see the turnout. It is all of a few miles away and I have yet to get to it due to schedule conflicts. Maybe next year!. Now, time to get out to the barn to start organizing the bus engine rebuild..... _________________ my59: Well son, my grandfather died before I got to drive it, so does that answer your question?

I was actually on my way to the horseshoe when i saw it! It's just down the street. You haven't seen mine around town yet because it is still body-off going through restoration.
Here are a couple pictures i grabbed of the Hudson Square

Sounds cool, Stan (no pun intended)! I am not sure if I can make it this year, but going to look hard at the possibilities. Around this time of year, I'm really looking for some kind of old car fix--and I just found out that I'm probably *not* going to be able to make it to the Big E/West Springfield Auto Parts Swap 'N Sell this coming weekend. So, like I said, I'm going to see if I can make a run up there. Thanks so much for all of your efforts setting this up and opening your shop to fellow enthusiasts! _________________ Stock Steve
