She's finally Alive!!! Here are a few pictures. I know she's a bit dirty, but you get the idea. Need to tun her, she runs good, just a bit rich, blows some sick flames out the stinger.

Were you happy with the shipping company? If so, who did you use? I need to transport a car from Houston to Charlotte. |

Thanks Sean Boy, but I think you know, since we've been talking for the past few months, that I'm sooooo not even close to being done!! LOL
Thank you Olson. I live in Florida and with all the nice weather it's fun to run the car with no Deck lid on occasion to show that bad boy off. I figure it's just tins, Not a big deal to change them up on occasion if I wanted.
RayFinkle, love the screen name. I used Reliable. I was very happy. VEry smooth transaction, the driver was very cool, came on an open hauler. To put in in an enclose hauler would have doubled the price. PM me if you have anymore questions!!! Thanks everyone. Still More pictures to come soon. Need to put a Fuel Pressure regulator on her and polish her up. |

How far off center are you front wheels? I am curious cause I might try moving my framehead back. Looks like about an 1 from what I have seen in some pict's. Thanks for the info.

Sanders. From all I know the car has a 2" narrowed beam with 2.5" drop spindles up front. |

Looking at the wheel, how for straight back would if have to go to be centered in the fender? I am curious like I said because possibly moving the framehead back and it will also allow the tire to clear the headlight bucket. Thanks again, love the car.

I'll check for you tonight. I am running a 265/50/15 in the front and it doesn't rub anything. |

Axle, I have it, just got it back up running. I wanted to run it through a couple hot cycles and then retighten the header botls on the motor then I'll throw it on.
The ignition switch took a crap on me this weekend, and I'm having a bad problem with it deaseling and popping and back firing after you rev it. It's not the fuel pressure because I put a regulator on it and I even turned it down to almost nothing and it still deasels. I'm really beside myself and at a loss to how and fix it. Maybe pull the carbs apart and rebuild them. Not sure. |

Hey are you having problems with the carbs acting up before or after you installed the rest of the tin?? _________________ In a sea of american muscle there is alittle bug hiding in the corner...

I've only had the carbs on and running with all of the tins on. I've never ran it any other way. When I got the car it only had a single holley carb on it and it ran like crap, but it didn't back fire like it is. |

So I found out that the popping and blowing flams was because the carbs were running to lean and not rich like many people said. Now for some reason when it heats up the throw out bearing makes a very slight hum and it won't go into gear, that and the clutch pedal goes away. When it cools it shifts fine. Looks like a huge set back and the motor is coming back out this weekend. |

Sorry to hear you gotta pull the motor again.
But look on the bright side...if they ever have a Olympic game consisting of pulling a vw motor an putting it back in you would win the GOLD _________________ In a sea of american muscle there is alittle bug hiding in the corner...

She's almost Complete. Throw out bearing went bad. Pulled the motor Friday afternoon and had it back in and ready to fire by Midnight. Worked out a bunch of bugs on Saturday including a run in with the ground and the header. Damn Roadwork!!! Pulled one of the J tubes out and had to drive it home and Fixed it yesterday. I took a quick picture and I will have more to come in the next few weeks for everyone!!!!
