WOW if that don't motivate you to go slow n low nothing will. Great job on the car!! The black trim is it gloss or flat? Hard to tell. I like that black, but gloss..... |

The trim is flat at the moment. Testing it to see if I like it. The flat goes will with the grey, but so does the gloss. I'm just not certain on how it would look around a stock radio...
I tried black trim on the outside of the car, didn't like it. Went with the SS from Wolfsburg and loved it. So I'm torn. I will likely go to polished inside so it matches the outside trim. _________________ '63 slow n low build thread...

Hugo.....my Brother!! As I've posted before, I'm a huge fan of your work and your car. I just read your thread and got all caught up again. Just to recap so we're all up to date: Love the paint job and the color. I'd roll with the flat black trim on the dash.....I think it looks great. And DAY-UM!! Yep. That ought to do it. We're all caught up now.
Seriously Bro. Mad props to you and your car. Keep posting.

The more i look at your color scheme the more i fall in love with it. I love the red on grey/silver. I think i've finally made up my mind which route I'm going.. BTW, christmas is over, so lets see some more progress _________________ The wife approved build: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6152419 |

Well Christmas came and brought lots of essential goodies! Window rubber and trim, rubber conduit tubes, ignition switch, turn signal switch, battery ground cable, etc...
Got some early birthday presents. The aforementioned girlfriend really knows a way to my heart. Also got my Kennedy stage 1 PP, kush-loc clutch and an IMI starter!
Here's a shot of the bday present from the girl...
The engine is in as of today for the very first time! Have some trimming to do, have to relocate the fuel line and fit a few parts still. Lots of progress, but all stuff that doesn't really mean much to photograph.
With the starter and ignition switch I can start building the wiring harness. That's next BIG step. _________________ '63 slow n low build thread...

Prepping for wiring, hoping to have it all wired by this weekend, but we'll see. Still need a gas gauge, a coil, and the MSD box. Debating on adding and emergency flasher switch, probably a good idea.
Did a restore on my speedo today. The input shaft was seized and I needed to roll back the odometer to zero. Got a little carried away and polished the housing as well. I always tell meself, no one will see this sh*t. But then this little voice says "maybe they will"
