Here is a few Pic of my car i pulled out of the junk yard 3 months ago. It is 95% rust free it looks like at one point some one tryed to Rebuild it into kind of a Hot rod it had a new paint / rubber's all around the car thats what saved it from siting for the last 20+ years also it was siting on a old pull barn that has the roof blown off some years ago but had assfault floor. car is in Super shape for how long it has ben siting. I put all new brake system also had the floors stiped and seald i just wetsand and buffed the car 2 days ago looks lot beter but still need lil more work. the car has a Blown bus motor 1500 why i dont know but i rebuilt a 40hp 1300 for it it rdy to go back in Smile should be on the road in next few weeks i hope. I still want to lower it down some Here is some Befor and after Pic tell me what you think

It's funny how it warms a hearth to see a bug being saved from sinking in to the ground..

That car is incredibly solid as well. What are your plans for the car? Your engine looks pretty good; I like the picture with straight on with the headlights and the snow Smile

Looks great!!! I like the rims you want too. But I would go with the OEM running boards. Lower that girl alittle. Keep the pics comming, what does the inside look like?

Im going to repaint my 57 Running borads off my 57 and see how thay look till i get the new rubber kit for them then i buy a new set of OEM running borads. i will post pic later today

Seems, from the pics, there were a few to choose from--did you go see that one specific or did you have to root through the lot??

I have ben looking for a nice bug to build for last 6-7 years. I came Across a craigslist add guy said had early fenders and he Works on all Air cooled now im looking for fenders for my 57 so i called him up he said he had LOTS of VW parts is i want to come over and look throw his stuff i could to see if he had any thing i could use. So i asked him hay do you have any Beetles for sale he said ya i got 4 of them for sale a 1965,1966<-Mine, 1968,and 1959, So i went there and come to find out This is a OLD hight School FULL of VW stuff and about 70+ Air cooleds in the old School Parking lot it was a FULL out VW Junk year 50yrs of VW/Parts. So i had a fun day looking at all the stuff.. the guys name is Jeff he is some what ok. thinks some stuff is still gold and what not he has a few ovals most of the car have ben siting for 20+yrs if not longer Just waiting to be come part of the earth :*( All this time i never new there was a VW farm only 20mints down the road from me Smile Here some Pic of the lot Sorry for all the SNOW it was -10 out side that day if i make a nother trip there i take some more pics
