for those of you that enjoyed the changes made to the Tulsa show last year try this one on for fit. It has been organized and arranges by many of the folks that were behind the Tulsa show last year and other local like minded people. Spread the word and make a point yourself to attend this show.
Bring your own shade and feel free to swap from your FREE spot in the show. _________________ Hippies never die, they just smell that way

I like FREE! I wish the linked map on the flyer were a bit larger, but I can still find my way. _________________ -

FREE FREE FREE! And no waiting around for 30 some odd classes of 1st 2nd and 3rd place trophies at the end of the day. Just cool people, great cars, and a laid back day in historic downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma.
We know you have a choice in Volkswagen shows in Tulsa this summer. We hope that you will join the Oil Capital Air Cooled at our 1st annual Air Cooled Volkswagen Show. Maybe we aren't 15 years strong but who knows any cool 15 year olds?
Come on, This is gonna be the show everyone is talking about. Get in on the ground floor. Get the chance to tell everyone you were "at the first", "went before it got huge", "your ready to die after being at this great show", "had your summer made by attending an unknown start up show that blew your mind". Make your plans to attend
I'll say it again, bring your own shade! Easy-ups, umbrellas, whatever you've got. Bring your Air Cooled Volkswagens too, please. _________________ Hippies never die, they just smell that way

Hmmm...I am really thinking about making it from St Louis.
Can we camp out Friday and Saturday nights? _________________ 1965 21-Deluxe-SWR/BG "Sonora"

You have a few options, well, you have a lot of options, but here are the ones I found that look good.
The most scenic place would be to camp out at Keystone Lake. It is about 20-30 min from downtown.
Also, you can check out:
Warrior Campground- more info »
5131 S Union Ave, Tulsa, OK - (918) 446-3199 -
Their may be some others that can chime in, but I am sure their something around here for sure. Don't let that detour you. |

Thanks! So looking at the map of Keystone Lake, it looks like the brush creek area may be a good spot. Just below the dam. Easy access back into Tulsa.

I'm really going to try to shuffle some things around if i can and make this.
Sent the exhaust out to be fully welded last night with the new heater box 2 bolt flanges so if I can get that installed this weekend and have all of the exhaust leaking issues fixed... Then punk out on another event I was supposed to be at the weekend of the 10th... Maybe I can pull it off.
I'm not just running over with hopefulness that it's going to happen for me though. _________________ "It's no accident that the word LISTEN and the word SILENT contain the same letters." |

Can't wait it looks like we are going to have a great turnout. Maybe people should camp out at Cooley's Friday night and go with a big group out to Keystone on Saturday night if people are wanting a 2 night camp. I love to camp so we will be there reguardless. _________________ We have a 77 Sage Green Westy Hightop, 66 Kombi |
