Hi, has anyone heard of the German company "Flennor"? I just bought ball joints from CIP1 and that is the brand they sent. Does anyone know if this is a reputable company?

http://flennor-automotive.com/flennor_automotive.0.html?&L=

what is the country of manufacture?

We used Nakata brand as that is what several little birds told me they were having the best luck with.

The country of manufature is Turkey, which is in the EU and hopefully producing quality products. These guys cost $25 a pop.

My bad, I just double checked, they don't say Turkey at all (my new Mayle tie rods are though Rolling Eyes ). They only say Germany on the boxes. So no one has used these?

I just installed these. My local shop says they appear good quality, FWIW.

I'd hunt down some real German ones. It's confusing because a lot of companies mark "Germany" on the box but they're not made in Germany. I started a long thread about this several years ago. To try to find real German ones, contact Scott at Germansupply (he posted above), try Ron at BusDepot, or as you see fit.

At the time, I found my nice German Febi ball joints at JustKampers in the UK. No one else seemed to have any at the time, but this was in 2006 or so.

Well, you paid way too much (we sell German ball joints for $16.95 a pop), but I have carried various Flennor products and had never had any problems. They are German based (although all the German companies manufacture globally these days, so that doesn't always guarantee German production). In any case, I wouldn't be afraid to install them on my Bus.

Turkey's not in the EU, and I think it would at best be a toss-up in quality between Turkish and Chinese parts.

You missed his correction - the Flennors were not made in Turkey.
