I picked up a pair of doors today with these air deflectors. Do you have any info in them?

they deflect air Wink

It's an old-school accesory that you could screw to the door with metal screws. You could also buy rain deflectors, and they were screwed to the door frame in a similar way (above the window opening).

Not sure whether these air deflectors are being reproduced. I know that the rainguards are reporduced, and also you can buy air defelctors which mount lower (as a clip on to the vent window).

the pieces you posted look like either a general auto accessory or are made for another kind of car specifically, i dont think these are specifically for a vw beetle

The picture is my car, the rain guards came on my 57 barn find car back in the late 80's. They are stamped for the vent window cut out. Have GHE no47187 on the part that goes under the rubber. I have another pair I found at a vw swap meet and had them all redone going on my next project.

Here is a close up..of the ones not mounted on the car.
