|
|
We have been working with 17" wheel and tire combos for quite some time and one of the biggest questions we here, "why don't you come out with a 17" wheel for the wide 5 pattern that doesn't break the bank?" It is now becoming a reality.
We are going to build one set that we will be displaying at the 2010 VW Classic on a Sick Super Slammed Beetle.
We will be offer them in a raw finish and available in many finishes.
Two offsets will be available, 5.250" front and 4.625" in the rear. They will have the look, as far as offsets go, like the 4.5's and deep 6 Fuchs.
We have a ball park price of $995 a set which we hope will be about right but we will know exact come the classic. More info can be found here http://bit.ly/aIi7oS and the photos of the design and build can be seen here http://bit.ly/aEjAOm.
We are using all american made products but the hub caps and those are being provided by Wolfsburg west who gets them raw from a German Manufacture. They will accept the factory early hubcaps and come with hub cap clips and all.
The pictures are very rough and some mods have already been adjusted for better and OG looks. More to come shortly. _________________ TheSamba members-only discount - Samba24

I love big steel wheels (or are you going to do them out of aluminum or something)! This is going to be awesome! To bad I have a four lugger. _________________ http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=366056 - My '73 Super Build. 2332cc, 16" Fuchs |

I know I asked this before but my computer was acting up during the chat session. Will the nipple hubcaps fit? |

i would like to see a 4 lug smoothie thats 17"
HOT!!!
(or any 4x130 wheel thats not going to break the bank)
a 17 thats 4x130 what fits the bigger wide 5 caps
arent the wide 5 caps bigger??
so any reason why there isnt a 6" wide version
those are going to look sweet
so they are being designed to just use the wide 5 hubcaps
or are they going to be Specific to this wheel
how much are they going to weigh??
i guess theres no way to make aluminum look like a steel wheel hu? _________________ 74 Mexi Swamp Thing. 70 square volksrod (Swamp Rat)..65 C10

MDmanx, I'm pretty sure Pete said they were gonna be 7” wide with two different backspacing measurements. |

Looks good. I saw you use Solidworks. It's a nice program. I've been using it for 12 years. _________________ 1970 Type 1-First car, waiting for restoration
