So I'm building a motor with IDFs and I want to use my scat linkage.
Is there anything I should know about this application?
Parts to fab, that sort of thing?
Thanks |

Stock shroud with shaved ducts. Baja w/no heat. My current build will use 44 IDFs. I was gonna go with CB's hex bar but I can save 75 bucks by using the Scat.
I was running this linkage with my kadrons. I did have to fab some throttle arms to fix a clearance issue. I'm more than willing to fab whatever is necessary to make it work with the Webers.
I think it's a brilliant linkage. It worked great with the kadrons. Plus, I have an oil filter hanging off the shroud that I'd have to move it if I use the hex bar. |

I have it on my 65 sedan w/ 40IDFs and I'm happy with it. I had to modify one of my heater outlets to clear, but if you are sans ducts then you have no issues.
I helped my buddy set up the scat linkage with 40 dells and a thing shroud with zero issues. The only concern is make sure the linkage is adjusted with the engine at operating temperature or else it goes out of sync.
I like the look and feel of the scat linkage vs the cross bar. _________________ 1965 Beetle sedan
