what the condensor looking thing is that I found while changing my voltage regulator? It was mounted on the upper stud, has a single wire and a mounting bracket. There was only about 3 inches of wire left and I couldn´t find what it connected to.
Thanks

A picture would help. Doesn't sound like an OEM component. Perhaps a noise reduction condensor in an attempt to reduce popping in a radio. _________________ 74 VW Thing - Walküre

Thanks for the reply Semper. I wish I could post a photo but I am pretty much retarded when it comes to computers. It looks almost identical to a condenser on the dizzy but its bracket comes out the backside instead of side mounted. The radio idea makes sense except I couldn´t find any signs of a radio ever being in this car. Another mystery. _________________ 1973 Thing/Safari

Al long as it is VW related you can upload it to your Samba gallery. (Gallery/Add photo). Once it's there, I can post it for you. _________________ 74 VW Thing - Walküre
