TheSamba is definitely the BEST site on the WWW as far as I am concerned.
HOWEVER, unless it is absolutely necessary for financial reasons, I would really prefer not to see political advertisements for people running for/from office and propositions.
I enjoy my air-cooled cars/buses to get away from the hate that is out there...

Are you referring to Google ads? If so the site has little control over that. It's controlled by the cookies on your machine and the sites you visit. _________________ Glenn

Those are Google ads and I can't control much of what appears, although I can and have blocked anything that is offensive. This is rare though.
If it is necessary to block something, I need the web address of where the banner you see goes to when you click on it.
Example: http://www.politicalcandidatewhoisacrook.com
They are shown by location as well as what is mentioned above so I often don't see what you see since I am not in CA.
The Google ads do contribute toward the site costs. _________________ How to: Post Photos | Search

In that case, can the google ads. I see no reason to give space to someone that can randomly advertise almost anything on YOUR website, Especially things that go against your sport/profession. |

Those ads help pay for this site. Do you? _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

The site is free to all users, partially because of banner ads and voluntary upgrades like featured ads and premium memberships. I'm guessing the 98% of members who elect not to contribute wouldn't appreciate being forced to pay. _________________ TheSamba.com on Facebook | Donate to TheSamba.com

The political ads are annoying since they are popular right now but according to Google they are 0.8% of the ads being shown so it's a very low percentage. Of course you will probably see them more depending on where you are located.
Google does allow you to block ads by category and one of those categories is "political". I haven't seen anything that is offensive that would justify a block.
I'm mostly seeing Mountain Dew ads at the moment. _________________ How to: Post Photos | Search
