Hello hello,
I'm a french guy and I've got a 78 Delux Bay and a big question?
My rear seat can have this position:

So I would like to know if it's a good idea to install Z-Bed hinges? (like
here: http://www.camperstuff.co.uk/Site/Home.html)

Do you think it's better to keep my actual system, to put a bed on, and to keep my money...?

With the z-bed hinges, is the bed confortable or not?

Thanks for your answers

Thanks for your quick answers!
SGKent: under your foam, you've got a z-bed system? and when your seats are in road position, where is your foam?

on this car left at home. On the 1971 I had like it, I made it with a fabric hinge and it folded over and sat behind the rear seat. Maybe twice in all the years I owned it the reat seat was up. Normally we never had more than 4 people in it.

Thanks for infos!
Perhaps I will keep my actual system and imagine a bed in 3parts which can be deploy when my rear seat is in bed position. Like the vw caddy tramper (look at 44s)

Finally, I buy a z-bed system from camperstuff!
I hope I can preserve my middle seat when my rear seat is in bed position?
I think I will put a foam in 3 parts (80cms, 80cms, 20cms) in order to put it in the luggage compartment when the rear seat is in road position!
What do you think about my solution?

hello

A+

middle seat can be moved forward using small brackets you will have to make or buy.

Good solution.
