radiator,
adaptor plate ---- http://www.kennedyenginc.com/Pages/EngineOptionList6cyl.aspx
some say you have to have the ECU flashed, some say you dont... some say you can do it yourself easily and for free, others say you have to send it out.
depending on the year there may be an immobilizer ( i think that was the subby motor, ive read about alot of swaps)
trans strap normally (apparently only need the front strap to stop the nose cone from breaking.)
some frame horn supports depending on what you're doing with it. (race, street, jumping, offraod)
you can cut out some of the useless junk in the wiring harness.
it also depends on what you are putting it in,
a rail it should just drop in,
a bug youll have to modify the rear, and if you want to have the engine lay flat youll have to run the shifter above the tunnel, otherwise i think it sits at 7 degrees and some people dont like the look. (idk if it effects performance or not)
a manx may have enough room. |

You don;t.
The only time it's an issue is when people try to use the current stuff with CAN-BUS electrics.
In that case its easier to just go aftermarket management or stick with earlier stock management.
I did with mine and couldnt be happier with the balance of power, good MPG and smooth running and full self diagnostics.
If you know how to trace circuits its piss easy to do the electrics yourself, just boring and tedious. |
