I am putting the front end of my '67 back together; I replaced the ball joints and tie rod ends. I am putting the steering knuckle back on and the eccentric bushing on one side won't stay in the hole. It's tapered and I thought that it just stuck in there when they went together and the bolt was tightened (it was certainly hard enough to get out). Am I missing something? Do I just need to tighten the bolt some more?

Thanks

you should have: ball joint, eccentric (notch to the front), arm, BIG WASHER, lock nut. Some times you have to hold/force the assembly together so the ball joint locks in the eccentric and the eccentric locks in the arm, then tighten till firm. Get your wheel alignment done and torque to spec. (Don't forget Rolling Eyes )

Thanks for the list. I am missing the big washer - not sure how I missed that.

Thank you.
